Course Goals: To provide beginning reloaders with the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely reload shot shells

  1. Introduction to Reloading and Reloading Safety (One Hour)
  2. Shotgun Shell Components (One Hour)
  3. Using the reloading Manual and Reloading Data (One Hour)
  4. Shotgun Shell Reloading Equipment (One Hour)
  5. The Shotgun Shell Reloading Process (One Hour)
  6. Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Practical Exercise (Two Hours)
  7. Course Review and Examination (One Hour)

What to bring:

A safe attitude; Your lunch and drinks, reloading manuals if you have already obtained them.

What I will provide:

Several MEC single station 20 gauge and 12 gauge reloading setups and a 12 gauge multistation progressive reloading machine . All components necessary for the practical exercise: powder, hulls, primers, shot, presses, and reference books suitable for reloading 20 gauge and 12 gauge ammunition, NRA Guide to Reloading, and various handouts. Enthusiasm; a safe learning environment, NRA Completion Certificate.
